AIDEN FOR WACO
Meet Aiden, Your Candidate for Mayor

AIDEN'S BACKGROUND
Aiden Morgan for Mayor of Waco
I am running for mayor of Waco for one reason and one reason only: the people of this city deserve better—and I refuse to accept “this is just how it is” as an answer.
I did not grow up with privilege. I grew up in a low‑income household with parents who worked relentlessly just to make ends meet. I know what it means to stretch a dollar, to go without, and to live with the constant pressure of survival. There was a time in my life when I was homeless. There was a time when the system did not catch me—it let me fall. I know firsthand what happens when people are ignored, overlooked, and treated as disposable.
I am not running for mayor because I have life all figured out. I’m running because I’ve been put through the wringer—and I survived it. I was abused as a child. I’ve been left out, squeezed out, and thrown to the wolves. And when I look at Waco, I see a city that has been treated the exact same way. Promises made, promises broken. People struggling while others look the other way.
I’m running for mayor to say no more.
This campaign is not about political ambition. It is not about ego. It is not about donors, special interests, or party games. This campaign is solely about the people of Waco. The working families. The kids riding their bikes on cracked neighborhood roads. The teachers digging into their own pockets. The first responders risking their lives while falling behind on their bills. The neighbors sleeping in their cars. The victims who suffer in silence.
My platform is not complicated. It is bold, direct, and built around common sense and human dignity:
-
Raise wages for our first responders—because the people who run toward danger deserve more than applause.
-
Restore and expand funding for our public and local schools—because education is not an expense, it is an investment.
-
Create homeless coalitions right here in Waco—to move people off the streets and into stability, not shuffle them out of sight.
-
Establish a city task force for victims of domestic violence and gun violence—because survival should not depend on luck.
-
Launch a task force to help undocumented members of our community pursue legal status—because fear and exploitation make our city weaker, not stronger.
-
Create full financial transparency for the city of Waco—so every resident knows where their money is going, who is funding what, and what projects are coming into our neighborhoods.
My platform also means fixing our infrastructure—repairing city and neighborhood roads, improving lighting, and making our streets safe so children can ride their bikes after dark without fear.
And let me be crystal clear about crime.
Waco is currently ranked 15th in crime, and that is unacceptable. That number must go down. We should be at the very bottom of that list. It will be a cold day in hell before I allow crime to rise any higher in this city. Safety is not optional. My goal as mayor is simple and non‑negotiable: to make Waco the safest it has ever been.
I am not a career politician. I am someone who has lived what too many in this city are living right now. I know what it feels like to be unheard. I know what it feels like to be written off. And I know that when people who have been knocked down finally stand up, they fight harder than anyone else.
This campaign is a line in the sand.
For fairness. For safety. For transparency. For dignity.
For Waco.
